With the recent announcement from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regarding study permit application caps, provincial attestation letter (PAL) processes and exemptions, and other measures affecting post-graduate work permits and spousal work permit eligibility, Canadian Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) are facing new challenges in international exchange and student recruitment. The need for accurate information and clear communication has never been greater.

In this session, educational institutions, school boards, agencies, and education experts will discuss the recent changes and their impact on international students from China, as well as their effect on various global economic and education sectors. Topics will focus on student recruitment, institutional partnerships, student housing, and work opportunities. Updates to the three-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for graduates of master’s degree programs, access for visitors/exchange students, and options for extending onshore and visiting research students will also be covered.

A networking session will follow the panel discussions. Click here to register.
