On April 25, 2023, CCBC hosted the 2023 Jilin-Canada Business Matching & Information Exchange Conference in Toronto. The sold-out event was held in partnership with the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, China. The event was a great success, providing attendees with an opportunity to connect with potential partners and investors from Jilin Province and explore opportunities for collaboration and growth in the auto parts and motor vehicle manufacturing, biomaterials, biotechnologies, and pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing sectors.

The conference featured presentations from Jilin Province delegates, who showcased their organizations’ work scopes, products and services, and business development objectives. Attendees were provided with a unique opportunity to engage with the delegates and explore potential avenues for technology collaboration, trade, investment, and distribution. Industry-specific one-on-one breakout sessions were also held following the presentations, allowing attendees to engage in matchmaking and information exchange. Tickets were free for CCBC members, $50+HST for non-CCBC members.

Jilin Province, known for its automobile industry and biotech research and manufacturing, was well represented at the event, with senior management and representatives from the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province; Jilin Aodong Pharmaceutical Group Co. Ltd.; Jilin Province Hua Yu Auto Parts Co. Ltd.; Changchun Zhuoyi Biological Co. Ltd.; and Jilin Xialan Biotechnology Co. Ltd. in attendance.
