Happy Canada Day! It was a sincere pleasure for CCBC and CanCham Beijing to be able to bring together over 210 guests for a fabulous celebration of Canada’s 157th birthday on July 6, 2024, in Beijing.

Temperatures and spirits were soaring as we cracked open bottles of Canadian wine courtesy of Century Dell, Mapleville and Phantom Creek. Plenty of Gin & Tonics and Rum & Cokes were flowing at the banquet, thanks to our Canadian distillers Laneway Distillers and Mariana. Thanks to our food sponsors, guests were able to enjoy a taste of Canada in Beijing, thanks to delicious crispy fries provided by McCain Foods, fresh scallops provided by Clearwater Seafoods, and wild blueberry yogurt provided by Oxford.

CCBC Executive Director and COO Sarah Kutulakos flew to China to attend the banquet. In her remarks, she thanked CCBC’s founding members, benefactors and many other CCBC member companies that have deeply committed to the Canada-China bilateral relationship. We also had the opportunity to host H.E. Jennifer May, Canada’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, as our honoured guest speaker, delivering an inspiring and insightful welcome address.

No CCBC Canada Day celebration would be complete without being rounded out with an amazing roster of prizes donated by some of Canada’s biggest names – including Tim Hortons, Loopdivision, lululemon, Roots, and many more from our partners.
