Canada-China Women in Business Virtual Mission

February – March 2021

COVID-19 has suspended travel and slowed international business development, but China’s control of the pandemic and economic rebound poses a unique opportunity for Canadian businesses and exporters. From February to March 2021, the CCBC Women in Business Virtual Mission engaged two delegations of senior women business leaders:
• A Canadian delegation of 26 Canadian executives in two groups (new and experienced) interested in building and deepening their China connections and enhancing their ability to sell their products and services to the China market.
• A Chinese delegation of 19 Chinese executives with interest in doing business or investing in Canada to learn, network and build relationships with Canadian companies and organizations.

Our Virtual Event Platform is open until April 18, 2021, for general public registration.

CHINESE DELEGATION

From March 17-18, 2021, the CCBC Women in Business Virtual Inbound Canada Mission* will invite up to 20 Chinese women business leaders to build relationships with Canadian counterparts and learn about high quality business and investment opportunities. Chinese delegates will interact with Canadian government representatives, senior executives, CEOs and business owners. Small-group in-person and virtual networking will feature the participation of foremost Canadian companies.

This Mission builds on a relationship CCBC has developed with the Mulan Initiative, a group of female senior executives at the level of the China Entrepreneur Club, with whom our 2019 Women’s Mission delegates interacted. Coincident with this 2021 Inbound Canada Mission, CCBC will lead a Virtual Outbound Mission of Canadian women founders, owners, and senior executives who have a product, service or technology to export or sell to China. Chinese and Canadian delegate programs will intersect to create and strengthen a Canada-China community of women in business and trade.

Delegates for this Inbound Canada Mission will have priority in recruitment for CCBC’s next Inbound Canada Mission, planned to invite a delegation of Chinese women executives to Canada between November 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022. The next Women’s Mission will build on the training offered in this mission and involve and more specific B2B interaction based on delegate goals for business with Canada.
