The Honourable Deron Bilous, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Government of Alberta, and WANG XinPing, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Calgary were guest speakers at a CCBC buffet luncheon on Thursday, February 9, 2017, in Edmonton.
They discussed the “New Golden Decade” in Canada-China Relations and how an enhanced Canada-China relationship will increase trade and business in Alberta. This was followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Sarah Kutulakos, with panelists Traci Bednard, Vice President, Market Development, of the Edmonton International Airport, Qiang Lin, President and General Manager of Siwin Foods, and Darryl Nelson, President of Nelson Environmental Remediation, who shared their bilateral experiences and discussed how they anticipate this renewed relationship could impact their sectors.
