On February 4, 2025, CCBC hosted an invitation-only roundtable in Vancouver with H.E. WANG Di, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Canada, during his first visit to Vancouver. The Ambassador was introduced to the local business community in a dynamic discussion on bilateral trade, where he shared insights on China’s economy and China-Canada economic and trade cooperation.

Ambassador Wang was accompanied by Mr. YANG Shu, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Vancouver; Mr. LI Zhongzhou, Minister Counselor from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Canada; and other Embassy and Consulate General representatives. CCBC was represented by board members Stephen Wortley, Partner, DLA Piper (Canada) and DLA Piper (US), and Paul Blom, Executive Director, British Columbia First Nations Energy and Mining Council, with Mr. Wortley moderating the discussion.
