CCBC members enjoyed a productive and memorable weekend (Mar 14-15, 2026) in Shanghai. In collaboration with the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Canada China Business Council organized a series of Formula 1-themed engagements for member enterprises. These included a welcome dinner hosted by the Secretary of the Jing’an District Party Committee on Saturday evening, a business luncheon hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce on Sunday at noon, and a VIP suite viewing of the Formula 1 Grand Prix hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Government in the afternoon.

Through this program, participating enterprises engaged in substantive exchanges with senior economic officials, including the Vice Mayor of Shanghai, the Director General of the Municipal Commission of Commerce, and the Secretary of the Jing’an District Party Committee. These interactions supported deeper commercial dialogue and contributed to advancing the presence and development of Canadian businesses in Shanghai.
