Canada Ready Roundtable Series in Wuhu

May 29, 2025CCBC Past Events

On May 29, 2025, CCBC’s Shanghai Chapter launched the inaugural session of its Canada Ready Roundtable Series in Wuhu, China. The series aims to equip businesses with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate the dynamic Canadian market and explore new trade and investment opportunities. Wuhu, a thriving industrial hub with strengths in smart home appliances, auto parts, new materials, solar panels, and consumer electronics, was a fitting location to kick off the first edition of the series.

The agenda featured presentations on topics such as mastering Canadian marketplaces, intermodal transport options, investment opportunities in Alberta and educational collaborations in Saskatchewan, and an overview of the Select Canada program by the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), as well as remarks from representatives of the Bank of Communications Wuhu Branch, the Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai, and Wuhu municipal government officials. The event concluded with a Q&A session, providing participants with the opportunity to engage directly with speakers and explore next steps for their Canadian market strategies.

In the afternoon, the Canadian delegation went to visit 三只松鼠 Three Squirrels, one of the top snack brands in China. The discussions were both insightful and forward-looking, exploring synergies between Three Squirrels’ market expertise and Canada’s rich culinary heritage.

Thank you to Event Partners Wuhu Commerce Bureau, Bank of Communications, Canadian National Railway Company (CN), Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai, Invest Alberta, and Saskatchewan Trade & Invest.
