The Canadian education sector has long been recognized for its excellence, openness, and innovation. As international education evolves, Canada remains a trusted destination for Chinese students and a valued partner for institutions across China. At the same time, both countries are navigating important shifts in education policy, student mobility, and global competition. In this context, the 2025 Canadian Education Mission to China aims to reset, renew, and deepen cooperation and partnership between Canadian and Chinese educational institutions.

Organized by the Canada China Business Council (CCBC), this mission will bring together Canadian universities, colleges, high schools, and education service providers for in-person engagement with Chinese education partners. The focus this year will be on strengthening institutional relationships, building collaborative academic programs, and supporting resilient student pathways amid changing immigration and market dynamics.

The four-day program includes education forums, school and campus visits, and customized matchmaking meetings in Shanghai and Beijing. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with Chinese universities, colleges, high schools, and education agencies, as well as government-affiliated organizations in the education sector. The mission also aligns with CCBC’s 47th AGM & Business Forum in Beijing, offering additional exposure and networking opportunities with senior Canadian and Chinese officials and business leaders.
