CCBC held a luncheon to update members on the leadership transitions announced at the 19th National Congress
of the Communist Party of China. Our Executive Director, Sarah Kutulakos, discussed who’s in, who’s out, and how these changes can affect Canadian businesses in China. Mr. Guy St-Jacques, former Ambassador of Canada to China, shared his perspectives on the implications for Canada as a result of these decisions and policies.
CCBC welcomed TONG Xiaoling, the newly appointed Consul-General of the PRC in Vancouver, at a networking event. Ms. TONG offered her thoughts on the BC-China business relationship. Also at the event was Graham Shantz, CCBC’s President, who gave an update on CCBC’s upcoming activities.
CCBC Chamber of Commerce – Beijing held its annual Christmas celebration on December 16, 2017. Colleagues, friends, and family were invited to this festive evening that featured a buffet feast with Christmas turkey, lamb, and much more.
