CCBC Chamber of Commerce – Beijing

The Beijing Chamber of Commerce provides access to most CCBC Beijing events, information about Sino-Canadian trade, as well as specialized programs and networking opportunities for the community of expatriate Canadian professionals and students living in Beijing.

 CCBC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: TERMS OF REFERENCE

1. Mission Statement

The mission of the CCBC Chamber of Commerce -­‐ Beijing is to provide Canadians living in Beijing and Chinese friends of Canada the opportunity to meet and network with other members of the community, and give them a platform to engage on issues relevant to life in Beijing. Members will have the opportunity to attend events, receive daily news on Canada-­‐ China relations, monthly newsletters, and a means to stay connected to the Canadian community in Beijing.

2. Membership Categories

2.1 Individual Membership
Individuals of organizations that are not members of the Canada-­‐China Business Council are welcome to join as individual members and enjoy the benefits offered. The cost of a one year renewable Individual Membership is 2000 RMB

2.2 Student Membership
Canadians studying in Beijing with a valid Student ID card can qualify for a discounted Student Membership rate. This membership categories enjoys all the benefits of a full Individual Membership. The cost of a one year renewable Student Membership is 1500 RMB

3. Support and Resources

The Managing Director, China for CCBC serves as the Managing Director for the CCBC Chamber of Commerce Beijing. The Managing Director is being supported by the Membership Director of the CCBC Beijing Chapter, in addition to the CCBC Events Team as required.

The Chamber will conduct itself according to the governance rules established by the Canada-­‐China Business Council. The CCBC Beijing Advisory Council will serve as the oversight committee for the Chamber.
