Join the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) in welcoming a distinguished delegation of senior executives and entrepreneurs from the McGill China MBA for Executives program. This dynamic exclusive summit will bring together leaders from across the CCBC community and the visiting EMBA cohort for an afternoon of high-level dialogue, insight-sharing, and strategic networking.

Through a keynote address, a featured executive panel, and a closing networking session, participants will explore critical themes such as innovation, cross-border expansion, investment strategies, and the evolving Canada–China business relationship. The forum aims to foster meaningful business connections, mutual understanding, and practical collaboration between Canada and China.

The event will conclude with a networking cocktail, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with business peers, thought leaders, and future partners within the CCBC community.

Ali Amadee
Partner
Dentons

Ali Amadee is a lawyer and partner in Dentons Canada’s Montréal office. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, venture capital, as well as technology and emerging growth companies. In addition to being viewed as a seasoned legal advisor, Ali is also known to be a pragmatic solution-finder and a strategic advisor for his clients.

Ali is particularly active in the energy transition field and heads Dentons Canada’s national practice group focused on lithium-ion batteries and battery storage. He has niche experience in providing legal, strategic and government relations advice to companies active in this fast-growing sector in all aspects of their establishment and expansion in North America.

His mandates often involve complex cross-border aspects and lead him to regularly work with his Dentons colleagues from various offices across the globe. As part of his transactional experience, Ali has acted for buyers and sellers in various M&A deals in a variety of sectors, and has been involved in numerous infrastructure transactions and financings (including in the context of public-private partnerships). He also regularly represents either tech and emerging growth companies or investors (including VC funds) in financing and investment transactions.

As a true world citizen, Ali has lived and attended university on three different continents. In 2008, he received the Québec-China Full Scholarship, awarded jointly by the governments of Québec and China. This scholarship provided him with the opportunity to live in China and pursue graduate studies in international economic law at China’s Wuhan University. With a passion for languages, Ali is fluent in English, French and Persian and conversant in Mandarin. He is called to the bars of Québec and the State of New York.

Ali is active on various boards and regularly advises business leaders on legal, geopolitical and strategic matters relating to China, the Middle East and other emerging economies.

 

Alice Wu
President

Mrs. Alice Minying Wu founded Groupe Boda in 2004 and has served as its President ever since. She holds a Master’s degree from McGill University and is fluent in Chinese, English, and French. With nearly thirty years of extensive experience in business management, including more than twenty years in the real estate industry, she has consistently demonstrated professional passion, unwavering conviction, and outstanding leadership. Under her guidance, her team has achieved remarkable success, while she has also long been committed to philanthropy, contributing continuously to community development.

For her remarkable achievements and contributions, Mrs. Wu has received numerous honours, including “Outstanding Chinese Entrepreneur,” the Grand Prize “Les Grands Bâtisseurs 2025,” as well as the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal and the King Charles III Coronation Medal, recognizing her ongoing dedication to Canadian society. In addition, Le Journal de Montréal has named her among the “most powerful women in real estate on Montréal’s South Shore,” underscoring her broad influence in both the industry and the community.

 

Bin Zeng
Partner
Dentons

Bin Zeng is a partner in the Banking and Finance group of Dentons Canada LLP’s Montreal office. His practice focuses on Canadian and cross-border financing, while he also advises on corporate and general commercial law.

Bin advises a wide range of clients in commercial credit transactions, syndicated loans, real estate lending, asset-based lending, project financing, receivables financing, as well as aircraft financing. Bin also advises clients on international trade matters and assists foreign enterprises in their establishment and expansion of businesses in Québec and Canada while complying with regulatory requirements.

 

Claire Zhang
Director, Quebec Chapter
Canada China Business Council

Claire Zhang brings over 10 years of international development expertise to her role as Director of the Quebec Chapter at the Canada China Business Council. She previously led business development for Greater China across sectors including edu-tech, entertainment, IT, blockchain, and 5G. Ms. Zhang excelled in building influential relationships with government agencies, industry leaders, and strategic partners in both nations.

Prior to this, Ms. Zhang served as Program Manager at the Quebec Chapter and Interim Chapter Director for the Atlantic Chapter at CCBC. There, she provided critical business intelligence to members from Eastern Canada. She is an expert in organizing large-scale, high-level business missions to China and Canada, facilitating essential negotiations, and helping Canadian enterprises navigate the complexities of the Chinese market.

A dedicated advocate for diversity, women’s leadership, and entrepreneurship, Ms. Zhang holds a B.Comm in Marketing from Concordia University. She is fluent in English and Mandarin, with intermediate French skills. Her charismatic acumen and deep understanding of both business landscapes position her to drive impactful bilateral business development and forge strategic partnerships. Ms. Zhang is also actively involved in the China-Canada community in the Quebec region.

 

David M Saunders, PhD
Director of International, Desautels Faculty of Management
McGill University

David Saunders is Director International, Executive Director of Executive Education, Academic Director of the China MBA for Executives, and Professor (Administration) at Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University. David has over 20 years of experience as Dean, leading two business schools to the prestigious Financial Times ranking, and driving the schools’ globalization and strategic growth. He has created more than 100 strategic partnerships around the globe, and has supervised executive and academic programs in several different countries including Canada, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Ecuador, China and Japan.

David has served on the board of CEIBS (China), and the international advisory boards of SKEMA (France) and Schaffhausen Institute of Technology (Switzerland). David has also forged exclusive strategic relationships with both private (e.g., IBM) and public sector (e.g., The Canadian Olympic Committee) organizations to provide tailored business education to serve their needs. He served as Chair of the EQUIS Awarding Body and Vice-Chair of the AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee, as well as a board member of both EFMD and AACSB.

David is an expert in negotiation and change management, most recently working with organizations that are in the process of digitalizing. In addition to teaching on numerous executive education and professional Masters programs, he has consulted to many diverse organizations throughout his career, including KPMG, Bank of Nova Scotia, Unilever, Syntax, Bantrel, Oerlikon Aerospace, Hydro-Québec, Teleglobe Canada, Lantic Sugar, Computer Imaging and Graphics, International Aviation Management Training Institute (IAMTI), and the Institute of Canadian Bankers (ICB).

David has a rich background as a researcher, and is co-author of the world’s three largest selling negotiation textbooks, among numerous other books and papers. He earned a PhD in social psychology from Western University in Canada.

 

Henry Liu
Vice President
Power Corporation

Mr. Liu has been Vice-President of Power Corporation since 2011. He oversees Power Corporation’s business development in Asia, where the Corporation currently has a number of investments. Mr. Liu joined Power Corporation in 1995 and has since held various positions, most recently as Financial Analyst and Director of Asian Affairs. Prior to joining Power Corporation, Mr. Liu worked with China CITIC Group in Beijing.
Mr. Liu obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nanjing, China, earned an MBA from McGill University, and is a CFA charter holder.

He serves as a member of the board of governors for the Jiuding Scholarship Program dedicated to Chinese students studying in Canada, and is a member of the board of directors of the Montreal Chinese Hospital Foundation. He is also actively involved in supporting the development of cultural programs to promote local Chinese communities in Canada.

Mr. Liu is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medallion and the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his dedication and services to the communities in Canada.

 

Jianguo Wei
General Manager
Elite Times CPA Inc.

His prior professional experience includes being a tax expert with Revenue China for more than 10 years and an auditor with Richter for 5 years. In 2013, he founded the Elite Times CPA Inc. firm in Montreal, and soon expanded to Toronto and Vancouver.

His expertise is in both Canadian and Chinese taxation and accounting systems. A lot of his clients are high-net-worth immigrant investors, immigrants, and subsidiaries of Chinese companies. He uses his expertise in both countries to help Chinese entrepreneurs invest in Canada. He is also a specialist in pre-landing tax planning for high-net-worth immigrant families.

He has established professional networks across China and Canada with partners including governments, associations, accounting firms, law firms, financial institutions and immigration agencies.

 

Jianping Zhou
Director, Commercial, Industrial and Real Estate Sector
Desjardins

Mr. Jianping Zhou is currently the Head of the Asian Market at the Business Services Centre of Desjardins Group. He holds an MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute, and has studied economics, finance, and financial engineering across institutions in China, France, and Canada. He also earned a certificate in Real Estate Investment and Analysis from MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning.

Since 2011, Mr. Zhou has worked at Laurentian Bank, CIBC, and Desjardins, progressing from front-line roles to a specialist in commercial real estate and construction financing. At Desjardins, he leads a dedicated team focused on serving the business needs of the Asian communities in Quebec and Ontario, upholding the Group’s values of community service and member empowerment.
