Come join us for an open discussion with Jean-Christian Brillant, Minister (Commercial) at the Embassy of Canada to China on January 10, 2024, at 5 pm EST. Jean-Christian oversees Canada’s trade and investment program across the whole China network. This roundtable will provide CCBC members with an opportunity to hear about Canada’s initiatives in China and discover potential business opportunities for Canadian companies.

Jean-Christian has extensive diplomatic experience in China. From 2010 to 2014, he was posted to the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao as the Head of the Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Service. Subsequent to that, he was Counsellor (Commercial) at the Embassy of Canada in China (Beijing) from 2016 to 2018, and Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai from 2018 to 2021.

Jean-Christian is well-positioned to provide insights into the evolution of the Chinese market and regulations, and is eager to hear about the China operations of CCBC members and their perspectives.
