Lotta Ygartua

Directrice régionale, Ouest du Canada (BC, SK, AB, YT, NT, NU)

 

À titre de directrice régionale, Ouest du Canada, Mme Lotta Ygartua est responsable d’établir la base des membres du CCBC à travers toute la région, en créant des liens entre les entreprises canadiennes et chinoises, en faisant la promotion du commerce bilatéral Canada-Chine, en organisant des évènements et en soutenant la prestation de services aux membres. Mme Ygartua possède 10 ans d’expérience en marketing dans les secteurs de la technologie, de la recherche en marketing, des communications et des arts. Avant de rejoindre le CCBC, elle a été pendant quatre ans directrice du marketing au China-Britain Business Council, dont le siège social est situé au Royaume-Uni. Mme Ygartua faisait alors la promotion du commerce et des affaires avec la Chine et organisait des évènements de haut calibre auxquels ont participé le premier ministre de la Chine et le premier ministre de la Grande-Bretagne.

 

Mme Ygartua a vécu en Chine pendant plusieurs années. Elle a travaillé pour une agence chinoise de conception de stratégies et d’innovation qui développait des produits destinés au marché chinois. Mme Ygartua a étudié le mandarin à l’Université de Nanjing et à l’Université Nanjing Normal. Elle possède un baccalauréat ès arts en chinois et un baccalauréat ès sciences en géographie sociale et économique de l’Université d’Uppsala, en Suède.

Tristan Sanregret

Biography

Tristan Sanregret is the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Government of Alberta’s International Relations division. His division is responsible for managing Alberta’s relationships with foreign jurisdictions. The Division’s international priorities include: undertaking policy research and analysis on emerging international issues; engaging foreign governments and advocating for Alberta’s priorities; managing Alberta’s international office network; facilitating incoming and outgoing missions by senior government officials; and negotiating and implementing international agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) as they relate to Alberta’s sister-state relationships and broad economic cooperation agreements.

 

The division also manages the Alberta International Office network (consisting of 16 offices) and assumes a leadership role in the planning and coordination of missions by the Premier, and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta who represent the government in various Transboundary organizations across the United States.  

 

From 2005-2012, Tristan served as Director, Alberta-U.S. Relations, in the Alberta Office in Washington, D.C, a position he assumed shortly after the office first opened in 2005.  During his time in Washington, D.C., Tristan worked with three successive Alberta Representatives to promote and defend Alberta’s economic and political interests in the U.S. Capital and throughout the U.S. 

 

Prior to his tenure in Washington D.C., Tristan was with Alberta Economic Development and supported Alberta’s trade and investment activities in a variety of geographic areas, including the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia and North Asia. He was also posted to the Canadian Consulate in Mumbai, India.

 

Tristan holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Distinction, following study at the University of Alberta and Edinburgh University.

Bennett Wong is a partner in the Corporate group. He is the national lead for the Securities and Corporate Finance group, the national lead for the Industrials sector group, and the national co-lead for the Canada China Country Collaboration group.

Mr. Wong has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions (public and private, negotiated and unsolicited/hostile), spin-offs, going private transactions, securities offerings (public offerings and private placements of equity, debt and hybrid securities), IPOs, domestic and foreign stock exchange listings, project financings, private equity transactions, joint ventures, strategic investments, proxy fights, special committees, corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
