CCBC Webinar: Stranded Canucks – What We Know So Far About Returning to China

Juin 15, 2020Événements passés

Since China closed its borders to non-Chinese nationals on March 28, the domestic market has essentially returned to normal. School is largely back in session, restaurants are full and lively, and public spaces are crowded once more. Many Canadians who call China home are eager – in some cases desperate – to return to the country where they work, study and live year round. Many executives are also looking to get back to the Middle Kingdom to meet customers, visit their offices/facilities, and engage new business in the world’s most thriving economy.

On June 15, Noah Fraser, MD China, and Edward Dai, Shanghai Chapter Director, presented an update on the criteria for special entry to China, the “green lanes,” and when you might begin to expect to return to the Middle Kingdom. They offered an update on some success stories, some areas of unforeseen concern, and who is being allowed in versus who isn’t in CCBC’s experience helping Canadians to date. A live Q&A session followed the presentation, where they tackled questions that may help the broader group plan for the coming months, for better or for worse.

The webinar was free of charge to CCBC members and non-members.
