On December 2, 2025, the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) continued its dialogue in Ottawa following the December 1 roundtable and the jointly organized Canada–China Forum on Trade and Investment Cooperation in Toronto. The Ottawa roundtable brought together CCBC leadership, CCPIT Chairman REN Hongbin, representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Canada, and senior leaders from Canada’s business community, including representatives of Canadian agri-food and industry associations spanning key sectors across agri-food, natural resources, and professional services.

The discussion reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing practical solutions to current challenges, strengthening business and people-to-people ties, and exploring new opportunities that contribute to stable and constructive Canada–China bilateral relations.
