CCBC successfully completed the second set of the 2019 Canada-China Business Development Roadshow in Fuzhou and Guangzhou, in partnership with the Canadian Consulate in Guangzhou, and the governments of British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec in China. The events promoted Canada as a premium investment destination, as well as highlighting Canadian exports and tourist destinations. The Chinese provincial governments in Fujian and Guangzhou connected the visiting Canadian delegation to local business. The events welcomed 150 executives in Fuzhou and 120 in Guangzhou.

Each session focused on three areas:
1.) Canadian investment promotions;
2.) Trading opportunities through B2B matchmaking;
3.) A tourism-focused reception.

The Roadshow is designed to connect Canadian businesses with potential channel partners and investors in second-tier cities where China’s economic growth is being driven. These half-day seminars are presented in partnership with the Canadian Embassy, regional Consulates General, trade offices, provincial representatives and Destination Canada. For Canadian exporters, travel and accommodation funding, up to 75%, may be available through the Global Opportunities for Associations (GOA) for qualified companies*.
