CCBC, in partnership with the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), presented a half-day workshop that focused on the extensive breadth of e-commerce opportunities in China, the largest online market, on February 15 in Vancouver. The focus was to encourage Canadian companies to take advantage of the remarkable potential for their businesses which can result from a well-developed e-commerce strategy that increases market presence in China. Guest speakers were from Alibaba Group, Sovereign (China), LLC, and Vistra China.

 

Alex Tsai, Senior marketing manager, B2B at Alibaba Group and Cooper Williams, BD manager, North America at Alibaba Group, the world’s biggest and fastest growing e-commerce company, gave a comprehensive introduction to Alibaba and outline its many platforms. Their e-commerce expertise provided attendees with key insights that could enhance their online China strategy.

 

Experts Mark Ray, Director at Sovereign (China), LLC, FENG Shiqian, General Manager of E-Commerce Section at Fengmei Investment Holdings Limited, and Karen Wang, Associate Director of Business Development at Vistra China, shared their in-depth knowledge of e-commerce in China at the event.
