Doing Business with China (Webinar) Recap

On June 25, 2025, the Halton Global Business Centre, in collaboration with the Canada China Business Council (CCBC), hosted an informative webinar designed to equip Canadian businesses with practical insights for navigating the Chinese market.

The session opened with welcoming remarks from Isis Jimenez, Business Consultant at Halton Region Small Business Centre, and Jeff Zhang, Regional Director, Central Canada at CCBC.

Participants gained valuable knowledge about the evolving business landscape in China, including available resources and support for Canadian companies exploring export opportunities, key investment sectors, and local programs that facilitate international expansion. The webinar also offered important insights into Chinese business culture, emphasizing the importance of building strong, effective partnerships for long-term success.

The webinar featured presentations from two CCBC member companies. Jessica Chester, Founder and Co-CEO of Laneway Distillers, and Nafis Rahimi, Business Account Manager at DTS Advance Logistics Inc., shared their firsthand experiences and practical advice on doing business in China.
