CCBC’s China Ready Learning Webinar Series is designed to provide guidance and expert advice to companies interested in exporting to China. The sixth in the series, E-Commerce 201 – Selling your product in China without having to jump on a plane, was led by Alibaba Group on August 26. In this webinar, Alibaba introduced its complete suite of solutions for brands and retailers to engage with Chinese consumers. Attendees were able to gain a better understanding on how to access the right tools and resources to reach the world’s most dynamic market, and ways to tap into Alibaba’s powerful ecosystem. A Q&A session followed the presentation.

 

Participants who complete this six-part series will receive an official CCBC China Ready Certificate.

Shanshan Tang

Shanshan joined Alibaba in 2016, and is now based in Vancouver as lead of Alibaba Global Business in Canada, responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of the globalization of the Alibaba Group ecosystem in Canada. She received an MBA degree from Oxford University and Bachelor’s Degree from UBC. Shanshan’s presentation highlighted Alibaba’s oversea business strategy and how Alibaba is contributing to local SMEs.

 

 

Nicole Lin

Business Development Country Manager – Canada

Tmall Global

 

Nicole joined Alibaba’s Tmall Global in 2018, and has since worked as a Business Development Manager for the Americas region and Category Manager for the Tmall Overseas Fulfillment team. Nicole has extensive work experience in both fast-moving consumer goods and luxury retail, and is now focused on helping Canadian brands and partners tapping into China through cross-border e-commerce.

 

 

Rachel Wu

Head of Integrated Marketing, North America

Alibaba Group

 

Rachel joined Alibaba in 2010 and is now based in California, U.S., as Head of Integrated Marketing (North America), Globalization BU, Alibaba Group. Rachel spoke about Alibaba’s oversea business strategy and how Alibaba is helping local communities during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
