CanCham Beijing, under the Canada China Business Council, officially kicked off the festive season in style last Saturday, December 13, 2025, with our second joint Christmas Gala in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in China (BritCham China), hosted at The St. Regis Beijing. The evening brought together 260 guests, including members and friends of both Chambers, for a memorable celebration featuring outstanding food and beverages, live performances, and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

The gala opened with beautiful traditional Christmas songs performed by the choirs of the Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB), setting the tone for a warm and festive evening. We were honoured to welcome representatives from the Canadian, British, and Chinese governments, including Maxim Berdichevsky, Counsellor (Agriculture and Agri-Food) at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, and Jonathan Bacon, Minister-Counsellor for Economics, Trade Policy, and Net Zero.

The evening was jointly emceed by David Perez-Des Rosiers, Director of the Beijing Office, Canada China Business Council, and Graeme Wallace, Managing Director of BritCham China, highlighting the strong collaboration between the two organizations.

No Christmas celebration would be complete without an exciting prize draw. This year’s highlights included two return air tickets to anywhere in Canada, generously provided by Air Canada; a winter jacket from premium Canadian brand Loopdivision; a selection of Canadian spirits; gift packages from Tim Hortons; and a variety of restaurant and hotel vouchers from our hospitality partners across Beijing. Congratulations to all our lucky winners!

Our sincere thanks go to our guests, sponsors, partners, staff, and volunteers who helped make this evening such a success, as well as to the BritCham China team for their close cooperation as co-organizers. Thank you to Bluestar AMG, RBC, Sun Life, Power Corporation of Canada, and Air Canada
