On July 23, 2024, CCBC hosted an exclusive roundtable in Toronto with China’s new Ambassador to Canada, H.E. WANG Di, for our Special Members. This high-profile event, attended by CCBC members at the Benefactor, Founding, and Sustainability levels, included leaders from the banking, insurance and wealth management, agri-food, manufacturing, education, retail, mining, and logistics sectors.

Ambassador Wang addressed Rt. Hon. Jean Chrétien, CCBC’s Chairman Olivier Desmarais, President Graham Shantz, and Special Members, touching on the key points of the Third Plenum. He noted that the reforms from this session would create new opportunities to all countries, including Canada, and outlined opportunities in three areas: Policy, Market, and Cooperation.
