CCBC successfully organized the annual Canada China Business Development roadshow in Nanjing and Hangzhou on March 24 and 26 respectively. There were over 120 executives at each event, including nearly 10 Canadian companies and over 100 local Chinese participants. The events were supported by the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai and the Provincial Departments of Commerce in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, with partial funding support from CanExport Associations.

The 2021 Canada-China Business Development Roadshow activates CCBC’s network across eight cities throughout China, bringing together investors, professionals and entrepreneurs to view showcases of Canada’s products, services, and technologies. Canadians are invited to join these sessions in a wide range of Chinese cities to introduce their firms for strategic partnerships, sales and/or investments. These events attract between 90-120 attendees to each city, including senior officials from local CCPIT offices, MOFCOM, local chambers of commerce and more. Company profiles are shared in advance so well-aligned investors or customers can set up direct meetings.

Companies unable to travel to China can participate virtually as a Showcase Organization by submitting a video presentation to be played at the roadshow. This platform is entirely unique and leverages CCBC’s broad network and reputation to drive new Canada-China business in these dynamic, yet often-overlooked, regions.
