From October 30 to November 3, 2025, the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) hosted the CCBC 2025 Canadian Education Mission to China, marking another successful mission following last year’s program and reaffirming CCBC’s commitment to strengthening institutional linkages and people-to-people ties between Canada and China.

The mission brought together approximately 50 delegates representing Canadian universities, colleges, high schools, and education service providers for a series of in-person engagements in Shanghai and Beijing. Delegates focused on strengthening institutional relationships, expanding collaborative academic programs, and supporting resilient student pathways amid an evolving global education landscape.

The program featured Canada–China education conferences, school and campus visits, and tailored matchmaking meetings with Chinese universities, high schools, education agencies, and government-affiliated organizations. The mission also aligned with CCBC’s 47th Annual General Meeting & Business Forum in Beijing, offering additional opportunities for delegates to engage with senior Canadian and Chinese officials and business leaders. Across all activities, the message was clear: education remains a vital pillar of Canada–China cooperation, and sustained engagement continues to support long-term partnership, mutual understanding, and shared growth.

CCBC was pleased to welcome senior representatives from the Government of Saskatchewan, including Jodi Banks, Deputy Minister of Trade and Export Development, and W. L. (Bill) Greuel, Deputy Minister of Agriculture.

CCBC extends its sincere appreciation to all participating institutions and partners for their collaboration. The mission was supported by our co-hosts and co-partners: Bank of China (Canada), Beijing New Oriental Vision Overseas Consulting Co., Ltd., Cape Breton Language Centre, Cape Breton University, EIC Education, The Erindale Academy, and Trinity Western University. We also acknowledge the important contributions of our mission sponsors: Brock University, the Government of Saskatchewan, Hanson Canada, NOIC Academy, and RBC. Thank you as well to Air Canada as Airline Sponsor, JJL Overseas Education as Conference Sponsor, Pearson PTE as English Test Partner, Huatong International (HTI) Canada as Networking Sponsor, and the International Education Association Shanghai as Supporting Organization.
