On September 24, 2025, the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) Shanghai Chapter, in collaboration with Export Development Canada (EDC) and the Bank of Communications, hosted a business exchange in Shanghai. The event brought together Canadian and Chinese business leaders for an afternoon of conversation & networking, exploring different perspectives on the food industry.

The program highlighted Canada’s strengths in agri-food, seafood, agriculture technology, health products, and beverages, with presentations from leading Canadian companies including McCain Foods, Clearwater Seafoods, Hylife, Great Mountain Ginseng, Radouga Distilleries, and CubicFarm Systems Corp. Participants also gained valuable insights into the Bank of Communications’ foreign exchange services.

The exchange concluded with a business matchmaking session, providing participants with direct opportunities to engage with industry peers, explore collaboration, and strengthen bilateral trade and investment in the food and agriculture sectors.

By facilitating this dialogue, CCBC and its partners underscored the importance of creating platforms that connect Canadian and Chinese companies, fostering stronger business ties and unlocking new growth opportunities.
