E-Commerce in China: Building a Strategy that Works – Toronto, ON

CCBC, in partnership with the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), presented a half-day workshop that focused on the extensive breadth of e-commerce opportunities in China, the largest online market, on February 22 in Toronto. The focus was to encourage Canadian companies to take advantage of the remarkable potential for their businesses which can result from a well-developed e-commerce strategy that increases market presence in China. Guest speakers were from Alibaba Group, Sovereign (China), LLC, and Vistra China.

 

Cooper Williams, Senior Business Development Manager, Alibaba Group North America, the world’s biggest and fastest growing e-commerce company, gave a comprehensive introduction to Alibaba and outline its many platforms. His immense e-commerce expertise provided attendees with key insights that could enhance their online China strategy.

 

Experts Mark Ray, Director at Sovereign (China), LLC, and Karen Wang, Associate Director of Business Development at Vistra China, shared their in-depth knowledge of e-commerce in China.
