From November 2 to 7, 2025, the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) successfully hosted the CCBC 2025 Canadian Agri-Food Mission to China, chaired by Christopher White, President & CEO of the Canadian Meat Advocacy Office (CMAO) and Canada Pork \u2013 Porc Canada. The delegation brought together 20 senior leaders from across Canada\u2019s agri-food sector, including meat, pulses, pet food, ginseng, and sustainable agriculture, for a high-impact week of engagement, market insights, and new connections across the value chain.<\/p>\n

Agriculture remains one of the strongest drivers of Canada\u2013China trade, and the mission reinforced Canada\u2019s reputation as a supplier of high-quality, safe, and trusted food products. Program highlights included meetings with the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), B2B matchmaking with the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA), site visits to Shanghai Port and Shanghai Disney Resort, participation in the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), and the Canada\u2013China Agri-Food Roundtable with the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce (SCOFCOM). Across all activities, the message was clear: agri-food continues to be a cornerstone of deepening economic cooperation between Canada and China.<\/p>\n
