CCBC friends and members had a unique opportunity last Wednesday to learn more on the challenges and opportunities in China’s retail market and commercial real estate sectors. Jeff Zhang, National Strategic Relationship Controller at Watsons China, spoke on China’s prime real estate developers and shopping malls property managers. Jeff Zhang’s offered important insights beyond the standard presentation; he addressed factors such as location strategy and floor plan analysis.<\/p>\n

With 2,800 shopping malls in 2012 and a projected 4,000 in 2015, China is set to open around 300 new shopping malls each years until 2015, leading to very impressive sales projections for Canadian companies looking to harness this growth.<\/p>\n
