En 2013, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 candidat officiel lors de la course \u00e0 la direction du Parti Lib\u00e9ral du Canada. De 2015 \u00e0 2019, il a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 actionnaire et pr\u00e9sident ex\u00e9cutif de Groupe Capitales M\u00e9dias, ce qui lui a permis de mieux comprendre les d\u00e9fis que doit surmonter la presse \u00e9crite dans l\u2019univers num\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n

L\u2019exp\u00e9rience unique de Me Cauchon aupr\u00e8s du gouvernement et du secteur priv\u00e9 lui a donn\u00e9 une connaissance approfondie sur une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019enjeux. Au sein de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de DS Avocats, il avise les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s sur les nombreux d\u00e9fis pos\u00e9s par l\u2019\u00e9conomie du savoir et la mondialisation des march\u00e9s, en tenant compte des facteurs g\u00e9opolitiques. Ayant \u00e9tabli des relations avec plusieurs interlocuteurs en Chine, Me Cauchon a acquis une solide connaissance de ce march\u00e9, ce qui lui permet d\u2019intervenir dans des projets qui s\u2019inscrivent dans le cadre de la relation Canada-Chine.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu une licence en droit \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Ottawa, Me Cauchon est devenu avocat membre du Barreau du Qu\u00e9bec en 1985 et a compl\u00e9t\u00e9 en 1991, une ma\u00eetrise en droit des affaires internationales \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Exeter, en Angleterre. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9cipiendaire en 2004 de l\u2019International Role Model Award remis par le Equality Forum. En 2015, il a re\u00e7u la distinction honorifique \u00ab Advocatus emeritus \u00bb et \u00ab Le M\u00e9rite \u00bb du Barreau du Qu\u00e9bec. Il est \u00e9galement vice-pr\u00e9sident du conseil d\u2019administration du Conseil d\u2019affaires Canada-Chine et pr\u00e9sident de la section du Qu\u00e9bec. Ms. D\u2019Angelo has over 33 years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically in Wealth Management where she has held numerous roles ranging from sales, management, and executive leadership.<\/p>\n

In 2024 she joined Scotia Wealth Management as Regional VP – Business Development<\/em><\/strong> and is responsible for the growth Strategy for Qu\u00e9bec to relaunch the Scotia McLeod offer bringing all business lines together to provide the very best advice to clients.<\/p>\n

Previously, Training and Client Experience at National Bank Financial Wealth Management since 2009, her mandate included cross-Canadian learning and client experience strategies and the professional development of more than 1,800 Wealth Management employees.<\/p>\n

A graduate of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she is known for her unique views on leadership. A dynamic and resilient woman of integrity, she succeeds in distinguishing herself in an everchanging Wealth Management industry by creating an experiential work environment that combines both regulatory and client advice practices. As a leader, her approach to achieving the organization\u2019s objectives is to help employees develop their talent, potential and individual strengths by fostering a work environment that puts both employees and clients first. She is a great ambassador for the influence of both professional women and women investors in her financial community.<\/p>\n

In addition to her professional role, Ms. D\u2019Angelo is very involved in her community, and became the first female President of the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Center Foundation Board. In 2015, she joined the Board of Directors of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, where she served as President from 2017 to 2019. And until recently, she joined the board of Flexifonds (FTQ – Fonds des travailleurs du Qu\u00e9bec) \u2013 a newly created fund that supports the local economy and Qu\u00e9bec society<\/p>\n

She is also very active in the promotion of women’s leadership and in the development of other talented businesswomen, notably as a member, advisor and speaker with the Association des femmes d’affaires du Qu\u00e9bec (AFFQ). In 2021, she was awarded the Inspiration Andr\u00e9e Corriveau Award<\/em><\/strong> – the highest distinction of this association awarded to a woman in the Qu\u00e9bec society who contributed to the advancement of women in finance. In 2018 a program she developed received the AFFQ Business Initiative Award<\/em><\/strong> for Making a Difference<\/em>, an innovative program which aimed to promote the Wealth Advisor career among next generation women.<\/p>\n
