CCBC, in partnership with the\u00a0Trade Commissioner Service (TCS)<\/strong>, presented a half-day workshop that focused on the extensive breadth of e-commerce opportunities in China, the largest online market, on February 15 in Vancouver. The focus was to encourage Canadian companies to take advantage of the remarkable potential for their businesses which can result from a well-developed\u00a0e-commerce strategy that increases market presence in China. Guest speakers were\u00a0from Alibaba Group, Sovereign (China), LLC, and Vistra China.<\/p>\n

Alex Tsai<\/strong>, Senior marketing manager, B2B at Alibaba Group and\u00a0Cooper Williams<\/strong>, BD manager, North America at\u00a0Alibaba Group, the world\u2019s biggest and fastest growing\u00a0e-commerce company, gave a comprehensive\u00a0introduction to Alibaba and outline\u00a0its many platforms. Their e-commerce expertise provided attendees with key insights that could enhance\u00a0their online China strategy.<\/p>\n

Experts Mark Ray<\/strong>, Director at Sovereign (China), LLC, FENG Shiqian<\/strong>, General Manager of E-Commerce Section at Fengmei Investment Holdings Limited, and Karen Wang<\/strong>, Associate Director of Business Development at Vistra China, shared their in-depth knowledge of e-commerce in China at the event.<\/p>\n
