Finalists have been selected for the six categories of the CCBC Canada China Business Excellence Awards. The winners will be announced at a Luncheon at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel on Friday, December 2, 2016.
The Awards, chosen by an independent panel of judges, recognize organizations from across Canada that take a leading and innovative role in expanding and nurturing bilateral business relationships.

Outstanding SME Award
The Outstanding SME Award is presented to an SME that best exemplifies the innovative inclusion of China in the company’s growth and overall business strategy. The successful implementation of such an initiative must have significantly improved the company’s competitive edge and financial performance.

Educational Excellence Award
The Educational Excellence Award is presented to a CCBC member from the education sector. The institution must demonstrate outstanding achievement in delivering China-related growth including, but not limited to, research partnerships, recruitment, student/faculty exchanges, alumni relations, institution linkages, executive training, and provision of Canadian curriculum.

The Chinese Investment in Canada Award is presented to an organization that has demonstrated ingenuity, success, leadership, and commitment involving inbound investment from China, contributing to bilateral economic growth and to the company’s international success.

Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Award

Outstanding Member Award
The Outstanding Member Award is presented to a CCBC member organization, irrespective of size or industry, which has had high profile and successful business initiatives or projects in the last two years. The organization must have undertaken bold new ventures, which resulted in commercial success and distinction from its competitors.

Hong Kong Regional Connector Award
This new category rewards an organization which used the Hong Kong SAR as a successful part of the company’s greater China and/or Asia strategy. The award is given to the organization that best exemplified the innovative inclusion of Hong Kong in the company’s growth and its overall strategies.
