CCBC 2026 Canadian Cleantech Mission to China

Advancing Clean Technology Export Diversification and Sustainable Market Integration

November 8–14, 2026 | Shanghai, Guangdong & Beijing, China

The 2026 Cleantech Mission to China is a new initiative developed by the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) to support Canadian companies pursuing opportunities in China’s rapidly evolving clean technology and low-carbon economy sectors. The mission represents a significant expansion of CCBC’s export-promotion programming into industries such as renewable energy, waste-to-energy, energy storage, soil remediation, and circular-economy technologies.

The initiative aligns with the new chapter in Canada-China economic relations following Prime Minister Mark Carney’s 2026 visit to Beijing. During the visit, Canada and China announced a renewed strategic partnership focused on energy cooperation, clean technology, climate competitiveness, and sustainable economic growth.

As global leaders in energy and innovation, both countries are committed to advancing collaboration in emissions reduction, renewable energy, battery technologies, solar, wind, and energy storage. The mission builds on these priorities by creating opportunities for Canadian cleantech firms to engage directly with Chinese industry leaders, investors, public-sector stakeholders, and infrastructure partners.

Designed for Canadian companies operating in renewable energy, energy storage, waste-to-energy, soil remediation, circular economy, and related cleantech industries, the program will provide delegates with tailored business matchmaking, market intelligence briefings, technical site visits, and high-level networking opportunities in key Chinese markets.

China’s accelerating investments in carbon neutrality, sustainable infrastructure, batteries, solar, wind, and energy-transition technologies continue to create significant commercial opportunities for international partners. Through this mission, delegates will gain firsthand insights into market trends, identify strategic partnerships, and position their companies for long-term growth and export diversification.

Building on growing demand from Canadian cleantech firms and stakeholders across Canada, the 2026 Cleantech Mission to China aims to strengthen bilateral business relationships and help Canadian companies expand their presence in the global clean economy.
